Hello Comm
at irregular intervals I make backups of the data (approx. 300Gb) on (currently) an external HDD.
The HDD is now 8 years old and is starting to make strange noises xD
The M2 prices have now become affordable :)
I'm flirting with the Crucial P3 Pkus 4TB.
The question is whether an M2 with a high read and write rate can also be placed in an external enclosure (Icy Box ICY BOX enclosure 1x NVMe, IB-1817M-C31) in terms of throttling performance when too warm?
Hello,
I would like to ask whether it would be possible to introduce a filter for endurance (TBW) for SSDs. This information is already noted on all SSDs as "Max. TBW (Total Bytes Written)" on all SSDs, but it is not possible to filter by this.
Thank you very much
The presence of a DRAM module on the SSD would also be an interesting point, which is missing from the specifications here so far.

Hello, I want to upgrade my NUC11TNK with a 2nd SSD. One slot is available and labelled B-KEY SATA. The socket looks like an NVMe socket.
Which SATA larger than 1TB can I use? Can I also use SATA3?
I bought an Intenso 2 TB 2.5" SSD a while ago for under 80...but I haven't seen a similarly cheap SSD on digitec.ch since. Is another such promotion planned...?
Good day
I have a question: I want to clone all my stuff from a Crucial P1 to a Samsung 980 pro. Now I have the problem that my mainboard has only 1 M.2 slot. How can I connect the new SSD to the board so I can clone stuff? Would appreciate any tips.
Greetings
Why 2 identical product images, one large, one small...?
I have often come across 2 identical product images for a product at Digitec, where the second was simply the small version of the first...is that necessary...?
I would need some (5 or more) m.2 SSDs of the same brand and model (without heatsink), where the storage capacity is rather secondary (but at least 256 GB), and the price should not exceed about 7 Rp./GByte. Would there be a volume discount for this quantity?
Super-expensive items in the shop (10x more expensive than comparable items...!)
I don't understand why digitec offers products that are 10 (!) times more expensive than comparable items in the shop for similar performance...! Is it even possible to offer attractive pricing?
Transfer rates ('According to description' and 'Effective')...?
It would be useful if, in addition to the transfer rates according to the manufacturer, the effective transfer rates were also given in the description (to be measured with Crystalmark, for example)...! Of course, you would have to unpack the respective product and benchmark it...
The m.2 SSDs need an additional filter...currently 'm.2 connection type' (e.g. 'M-Key') and 'interface' (e.g. 'PCIe 4.0') collide,
or am I the fool who doesn't understand something...?
Have I not understood something or why are I being shown 213 products in the filters SSD Type: SATA SSD and Protocol: NVMe 213 products are displayed? Aren't SATA and NVMe things that are mutually exclusive?
Hello Digitec Team
In my opinion, new filter options are urgently needed for the SSDs
- Size, 1TB, 2TB etc. (currently stops at >750GB)
- Protocol: NVMe supported? Yes/No
- Cell type: SLC, MLC, TLC
- TBW for warranty: How many TBs may be written to the SSD, <50, <100, >100
- Price per GB: <0.3 CHF, <0.5 CHF, <1CHF, >1 CHF
This would really simplify a comparison, if that is what you want.
I want to install a second M.2 SSD in my laptop, but I am not quite sure which one is ideal for my laptop. I have compiled the following list. https://www.digitec.ch/de...
Which one do you think is best for my system or do you have any other suggestions.
Thanks a lot for your help.
Problem: An older notebook with a 2.5" SATA SSD (removable or replaceable) is to be upgraded to more memory (currently 2TB). Now I could buy a 4 or 8 TB SATA SSD. The problem is: In about 1 year, I want to switch to a new notebook, which will definitely no longer have a SATA slot. An external solution is out of the question.
Is there a way to operate e.g. the MZ-V9P4T0BW from Samsung on a SATA port using an adapter? I have looked at some adapters, but it often says that NVMe is not possible. Which ones work then? The idea would of course be to simply take the M.2 with me when I change my notebook, but to be able to use it in the old notebook without an M.2 slot for the time being.
Love all
I bought the HP ProBook 440 G11 on sale. At 256 GB, the memory is at the lower limit for my needs. According to HP, the SSD can be replaced without soldering, official instructions available. I need help choosing a suitable SSD. The SSD should meet the following specifications.
Interface: PCIe Gen 4.0 x4
Form Factor: M.2 2280
Is there anything else I need to consider? Special form factor for notebooks, heatdink yes/no? Product recommendation (min. 512GB, better 1 TB, above luxus)?
Many thanks for any help.
Kind regards Martin
Hello everyone
I am looking for a new SSD for my PC built in 2020, Lenovo LegionT5.
In addition to the 2TB HDD, a 1TB SSD is installed and one slot is still free. The currently installed SSD is without a heat sink (do I need one?).
My idea would be to have the operating system/Windows C: on the 1TB SSD (if this is possible) and the programmes and current files (images being edited/video media libraries/...) on an additional 2-4TB SSD.
I employ LR/Photoshop a lot and occasionally edit videos up to 4k on Davinci Resolve. Occasionally also gaming :-)
I was thinking about buying the Samsung SSD 990 pro 4TB. (Anyone happy with a cheaper alternative?)
Alternatively I could get a 2TB and edit my photo/video projects on external SSDs?
Does my plan make sense? Should I also upgrade the Windows SSD or even just use a large SSD?
I look forward to your advice!
Best regards
Thanks for the help^-^
Hello everyone,
I would like to give my PC a little upgrade. The idea is to install an NVME with a Pcie 3.0 to NVME adapter. But I'm not quite sure if this would work.
Here is my MoBo
https://www.digitec.ch/en/s1/product/asus-p8z68-v-progen3-lga-1155-intel-z68-atx-motherboards-267557
My current SSD
https://www.digitec.ch/en/s1/product/ocz-agility-120-gb-25-ssd-258691
The imaginary adapter
https://www.digitec.ch/en/s1/product/ugreen-pcie-40-x16-to-m2-nvme-adapter-storage-controller-21182371
And the NVME maybe a Crucial P3.
As I understand it, the Pcie standards are backwards compatible.
Can someone confirm or correct what I have made up?
Marco
