The network cabinets of the Unique series were developed for user-friendly installation of active and passive network components along with clean cabling. Each cabinet is made of up to 1.5 mm thick sheet steel, ensuring very good stability due to special sheet metal bending technology as a robust steel construction. The coloring is done by powder coating in grey (RAL 7035) and black (RAL 9005). In special cases, the cabinets can be dismantled to reach locations that are difficult to access. The doors can be easily dismantled, and the door hinges can be changed. The roof is equipped with an offset cover including ventilation slots for improved air circulation. Furthermore, the roof is prepared for the installation of a fan module for active ventilation.

The network cabinets contain two pairs (four pieces) of mounted 483 mm (19") profile rails inside. These are galvanized and have a height unit marking that is countable in both directions. They can be adjusted in depth and are also connected to depth struts in the cabinet to allow intensive expansion with 483 mm (19") components. An important aspect of the installation is cable management. At the bottom of each cabinet, there is a slide-on cable inlet with a foam rubber seal. Cabinets from 26U are equipped with two rear cable inlets with a brush strip above and below the rear door. For cabinets with a width of 800 mm and more, the cable routing options are extended by additional inlets with a brush strip on the left and right at the top and bottom. Furthermore, vertical cable routing channels with trim are fitted to the left and right of the 483 mm (19") profile rails in the front for cabinets from 32U and 800 mm wide.
