the pros have been "secretly" changed to a charging case optimised for magsafe. apart from that, nothing should have changed. probably more of a move by apple to bring in a little price stability, as the pros can do a lot more than the new airpods 3, but currently cost the same at Digitec etc. as the RRP of the new airpods 3.

Cable is only necessary for charging. I have not tried wireless magnetic charging. I don't know if it works or not.

In my opinion, the Airpods Pro (1st Gen) are much more worthwhile they are equally expensive and older but still louder and better familiar to me.

My experience would be that ANC is optimised to muffle noise in things like cars and planes. It hardly helps with any disturbances.

If the Airpods are charged, Bluetooth is on, and you followed the instructions from Apple in this document: https://support.apple.com/en-us... … and it still doesn’t work, then I‘d say it‘s a defect. You can always try with a friend‘s iPhone to make sure?
