Yes, the combination of G4 and Spectre x360 with printer, scanner, screen and network works for me without any problems.

we use this station in the business for many hp elite 1040 notebooks and privately i use it with a newer macbook pro. the computers are used without problems with the front side usb c connected cable for data, display as well as power. it should certainly work with your configuration with the hp zbook, better ask hp right away to be sure. hot, oh yes, it will and it bothers me too. still understandable as it is small and has a lot of data and power to process without a fan. i hope to have offered you a little help.
No, that is not possible. The docking only has a USB-C uplink to the notebook. There are no other connections.
