So according to LC-Power's specifications, there should be no USB port at all?
I was able to do some research and QD stands for Quantum Dot, which is supposed to be a nanoparticle coating for more beautiful and more colours. In contrast to the LC Power monitor, the Samsung monitor has a mini LED backlight, which produces the local dimming zones. According to Samsung, there are 2048 zones. The LC-Power monitor, on the other hand, has "normal" edge lighting. This is because the manufacturer does not specify any mini LEDs or dimming zones, but only QLED-VA, which would mean: Quantum Dot, LED (Edge), VA Panel. Samsung Odyssey Neo G9
You can't. The signal must come from the PC.
This monitor has two frameless monitors built into one, so to speak. So you have to connect both hdmi connections for left and right. This is not possible on a Mac without an adapter. Despite having an Apple-certified adapter, I have never been able to get it to work satisfactorily.
Two HDMI cables are not really necessary. I have connected the monitor with an HDMI - if I want to have two windows next to each other, I drag one window to the left side and the other to the right side, and both automatically take up half of the screen. You can use up to 4 panels in this way.
With two HDMI cables I was able to use the full resolution, otherwise it was not possible.
As far as I know, it has no speakers at all. The picture is discussed on various sites, unfortunately that is the case. (see comment joel_noetzli ~2years ago).
I would be a little careful, your laptop only has a hdmi1.4b connection (https://www.hdmi.org/spec/hdmi1_4b). It says support for 4096×2160 at 24 Hz. Will that work? It might. But you probably won't have fun with 24Hz.
According to Intel, a resolution of 4096x2304@60Hz is supported via Displayport and is even higher than 5120x1440 (pixels). So connect this monitor via Displayport and you will get the full resolution and 60Hz. If you don't have a DP port, please check if there is a USB-C with DP support. Here is a suitable USB-C to DP cable (1.5m): i-tec USB Type C - DisplayPort (1.50 m, DisplayPort, USB Type C)
