Hey J_humbert, I have found that with the Surface Book, no matter which version, it is best to use the original from Microsoft. I read in the Lenovo forum that it works, but you have to take the docking station from the power so that the Surface Book recognizes the docking station. Which is rather tedious^^ Hope this could help Greetings KingRaven90 PS here is the forum post: https://forums.lenovo.com/t5...

Yes, the connected device such as a laptop is charged via the USB-C port. However, when using the supplied USB-C to USB-A adapter, charging does not take place, as this only works via USB-C with Rapid Charge, especially with ThinkPad notebooks.

I was able to do a search and as mentioned in the chat, we have requested the correction. The implementation may take a few days. It is the same model with different target regions, with the only difference being the power cable. As we have different suppliers for the different versions of the same model and therefore different purchasing conditions, the price may differ. However, we include a suitable power cable / power adapter for CH sockets, so you can always choose the most favourable offer.

Thank you very much for pointing this out. We have forwarded this for checking. According to our information, 40AF0135EU and 40AF0135CH are technically identical for the product; the difference is primarily the country version/mains plug (EU vs. Switzerland).

According to our information, the product only supports the switch-on function on certain models, mostly from the ThinkPad series. On other devices, such as yours, the button may light up permanently and not switch on. A defect is therefore unlikely, the function is probably not fully compatible.

You cannot connect monitors directly via the USB-C port as the docking station uses HDMI and DisplayPort for video connections. The USB-C port is mainly used to connect to the laptop and does not provide direct video output. To connect monitors, you must use the docking station's HDMI or DisplayPort connections.

it is not a problem with the dock, but with the M1 processor, however you should try a thunderbolt dock in my opinion.

I use the Lenovo ThinkPad in the shop as well as in the HO with 2 monitors, and a headset can also be connected, for example. Laptop manufacturer should not be relevant (we use MacBook, Lenovo and HP).

If you have multiple screens and external keyboard and mouse, it is definitely more convenient to have one cable for everything. You can also attach a camera and headphones there.

This docking station will probably be compatible with every Thinkpad. However, sometimes it still needs firmware updates etc. The ThinkPad Hybrid still has the adapter for USB-A, which I didn't see on the Thunderbolt 4 dock. In addition, the ThinkPad Hybrid was sometimes significantly cheaper. When I compare the connections, the Thunderbolt 4 dock seems to have slightly more connections.
