The SanDisk external SSD drive with a USB-C interface is compatible with the iPhone 15, as it uses the USB-C standard, which is adopted by the iPhone 15 series. However, make sure the drive is compatible with the specific features you want to use, such as direct video playback or recording.

The SanDisk Memory Zone app can be used on the iPhone to back up and manage personal data such as contacts and photos. It supports automatic synchronisation of this data with compatible SanDisk devices, including external SSDs such as the Extreme Portable (2000 GB). However, there is no specific information on whether the app enables automatic synchronisation with iPhones, as the app is mainly aimed at backing up and managing data on SanDisk devices.

Yes, you're right. The interface is really USB 3.2 Gen 2 and that is why I have reported this for correction.

Yes, the top of mine is also slightly curved, but the underside is completely flat. However, this curvature (at least on mine) doesn't seem to make any difference: I've been using the 4 TB more or less continuously for a good year now (it's attached to the Mac), and haven't had any issues.

Please format this external hard drive in "exfat". Only then will it be writable and readable (films, videos, photos, data) in both Windows and IOS (Mac).

I have an iPad with a USB-C connection. The iPad recognised the SanDisk when it was connected. (Presumably, connecting and recognising also works with your Joyroom multi-reading device with Lightning connection to your iPad). Files can then be copied to the iPad (e.g. with the app 'Files'), but most apps (except e.g. 'Files') do not recognise the connected device. For example, if I have a picture on the 2GB disc, I can copy it to the iPad with 'Files', but I cannot transfer it to the 'Photos' app or import it into 'Photos'.
