There are a few recommendations that you should take into account for the optimal alignment of the antennas of the Teltonika TRB500 gateway: ## Antenna alignment - The four antennas should be aligned to achieve the best possible signal strength and quality. Alignment on all sides can be helpful to maximise signal coverage. Here are some tips: - Two antennas can be aligned vertically and two horizontally to ensure wide coverage. ## Installation location - The installation location of the gateway can also influence the signal quality: - A slightly elevated location, such as your attic, can be beneficial as it provides a better line of sight to the mobile phone masts. However, make sure that the antennas are not obstructed by the tiled roof. - An installation behind a basement window may also work, but it could affect the signal strength, especially if the window is made of a signal-absorbing material. It is advisable to install the router in a location that has as few obstructions as possible. ## General notes - Make sure that the antennas are at least 20 cm away from people to comply with RF exposure guidelines. - Check that the antennas are correctly connected and aligned to achieve the best signal quality. By taking these measures, you can optimise the performance of your TRB500 gateway and ensure a stable and fast connection.

Yes, 4 antennas (for indoor use) for direct attachment to the TRB500 device are included in the scope of delivery. For outdoor installation, the matching antenna dome "Quwireless A500S" is available if required (see listed accessories). A 230V power supply unit for the power supply is also included in the scope of delivery. Unfortunately, PoE is not supported by the TRB500!

There are various aerials for outdoor use. The device has standard connections for the aerials, so there are certainly several alternatives. I myself use the TRB500 in my car, also with an external aerial on the roof. It works perfectly, I am very satisfied.

What exactly is "crashing" with you? You can set up the 4/5G modem to restart regularly. Otherwise, you can also set up a passthrough so that you have the IP of the mobile network directly on your target device. Alternatively, you could set up a DMZ. Since this is a gateway, I would recommend you to use a dedicated firewall behind it. As a router, I would recommend this device: Teltonika RUTX50 article number 22566042.

One more thing, the router has been running under the roof for a year and has never hung up in that time, which is also one of the problems that cheap devices have. When it is set up, just make sure you have the latest firmware on it. You can find out how and where to do this on YouTube.
