Yes, my router is a Swisscom Internet box (1Gb/s). It worked straight away.
I read in the Unifi forums that there are problems with 2.5 Gb/s with third-party products. But maybe this has already been solved. Ubiquiti has worked very hard on the software quality of the Unifi product group in the last 1-2 years (and is still working on it).

Yes, it depends a bit on how many security things you have switched on. If data monitoring is switched off, you get a higher value. With each update it usually gets a bit faster.
Plus, you only get the full 10Gbit if you do a measurement at 04:00 in the morning, because you divide the 10Gbit with 128 other connections during the day.

No, I don't think that should bother you. I can't hear it. Now, the device must be able to dissipate the heat easily... Otherwise the fans might go off. And as they are small you could hear them

Yes, certainly without problems, with an SSd the whole thing is of course a little faster and doesn't get as warm. However, to be honest, this only applies to the cameras and the system becomes a little faster.

There should be no problems behind a Salt/Sunrise modem. I operate the device behind a Swisscom modem and it works perfectly. You will need to check with your future provider whether you can operate it directly via the SFP module. I don't know the details at Salt and Sunrise, but they can connect it at Swisscom. The SFP module must be registered with the supplier beforehand. But as mentioned, it also works behind a modem.

I use the 1GB modules from Ubiquiti on my Dream Machine. For 10 GB, I can only see the Digitus DN-81204 module.
You can also order the right module directly from Init7.

Yes, it should work because the WiFi is configured on the controller and that is included on the UDM.

This is a question for Salt to answer. I don't think Salt will support this if you connect the fibre directly. Salt will only support their glass modem.

The same in my case UDM SE is functional and efficient, even if I regret that some advanced features are missing.
Reading your question, the address given to the UDM SE catches my attention "10.10.10.0" what subnet mask did you use?

You can use any port with or without POE. This is just a practical additional function.
You can use it as a modem depending on the ISP. With Seisscom it seems to be difficult or not feasible.
With Init7 it works fine.
