  In operation for 1 year and very satisfied

  I bought the 4 GB model with 2x500 GB SSD M.2, a 12 TB hard disk and a 6 TB hard disk. The two SSDs are in Raid-0 and the HDDs without redundancy, as all data on the HDDs is backed up externally every day. All disks are encrypted and NAS to NAS I achieve 110 MB/s. Streaming video is no challenge. Otherwise, I use the NAS running 7x24h to back up my devices (Time Capsule) or video recordings. I also run jobs that back up cloud accounts on a daily basis.
  
  Anyone who likes QNAP software and appreciates the slim form factor is well served here. I would buy the device again.  more

  • Quiet but not silent
  • Looks good on the sideboard
  • My cat loves the warm metal surface
  • The dough for the bread goes very nicely on the plate

  Contra

  • You can hear the rattling of the plates well
  • Price is higher than for a comparable cube-shaped NAS
