The halogen-free Cat. 8.1 patch cable from kabelmeister® features a slim locking tab design and is capable of supporting up to 40 Gigabits, making it suitable for demanding network connections.

The Cat. 8.1 technology offers a range of improvements over previous copper-based networking solutions. Data rates of up to 10 Gbit/s are often no longer sufficient. Faster fiber solutions are unsuitable for widespread use due to their high costs. Cat. 8.1 patch cables are also compatible with 25 Gbit/s and 40 Gbit/s Base-T Ethernet networks, eliminating the need to aggregate multiple 10 Gbit/s Base-T links into a single logical connection. This reduces the number of ports required, saving valuable space in data centers. The maximum bandwidth has also increased to 2000 MHz / 2 GHz.

The conductors of this patch cable are made of copper (CU) and are surrounded by high-quality S/FTP shielding (PiMF). For flawless signal transmission, the RJ45 connectors are shielded and equipped with 3 µ gold-plated copper contacts. This high-quality cable construction enables optimal signal transmission and greater durability of the cable.

The Low Smoke Zero Halogen (LSZH) cable jacket produces significantly less toxic smoke and lower smoke development in the event of a fire compared to PVC cables. This makes the cables ideal for indoor installation - they are mandatory in public areas.

The Cat. 8.1 patch cables from kabelmeister® are fully backward compatible with previous versions featuring RJ45 connectors, allowing for easy integration into existing installations.
