Wirewin

Optimal for use in racks and for VoIP applications. 4-pair twisted, AWG36, with a robust nylon jacket.

Cat6 cables are designed for operating frequencies up to 250 MHz. They are used for signal transmission with high data transfer rates (1 Gbps). Due to the high signal frequencies, careful installation and assembly are particularly important, especially at the connection points of the wires. The individual wire pairs in Cat6 are twisted at different tightness, which further reduces susceptibility to interference compared to Cat5e. Application areas for Cat6 cables include voice and data transmission as well as multimedia and ATM networks. Even more powerful are cables according to Cat6e (500 MHz) and Cat6a (625 MHz).

Wirewin Slim Tough cables - Robust, shielded twisted-pair cable (STP) with a slim connector protection. A significant advantage of the slim patch cables is their use in cabling racks and 48-port switches. The extremely thin design and high flexibility help avoid cable tangling, keeping everything organized.

A Wirewin Cat6 Slim Tough cable features a flexible and wide connector protection as well as a robust nylon jacket. They are the optimal solution for connecting IP phones to your network. The nylon jacket allows for easy untangling of the cables, making them suitable for mobile applications, such as connecting a laptop or as a travel companion.

AWG36. The AWG (American Wire Gauge) system is based on the manufacturing process of wires and indicates the conductor thickness of the copper wire. AWG36 corresponds to a conductor cross-section of 0.0127 mm².

Patch cable type

The cable type, describes the structure of a network cable. Fiber optic cables are suitable for distribution over longer distances (up to 80 km) and are resistant to interference. Copper cables can be used for distances up to 100 m and are cheaper to purchase.

Contact assignment

The contact assignment provides information on how the network cable can be used. An uncrossed cable can be used to connect terminals to the network, while a crossed cable can be used to connect two terminals.
