The Orb Freebird scores with very good handling characteristics in all conditions. However, at 0.9 grams per square centimetre, it is unfortunately not a flyweight.

Black Crows from Chamonix stands for fun skis and this also applies to the rather narrow Orb Freebird. With its wide, soft shovel, it is easy to surf and floats surprisingly well in powder. However, others are better at hard turns and hard ground.

With 90 mm under the binding, the Orb Freebird is a great all-round touring ski. It can do everything well, can be skied almost playfully and is quite manoeuvrable overall. The Orb Freebird also runs smoothly and the edge grip is good. From the point of view of the testers, a top ski for ski crossings.
