Fixing options for the ground cross include setting it in concrete, using concrete slabs, or utilizing our separately offered umbrella stand, which also enhances the aesthetic appeal. The cover, made of high-quality polyester, reliably protects against UV radiation and is rain-resistant (though not waterproof in the long term). Reinforced metal struts provide a wind-resistant stand and added stability, while the integrated air circulation bonnet helps keep you cool.

The infinitely variable height and tilt angle adjustment offers optimal protection, and the supplied crank handle allows for easy opening and closing of the umbrella. The stand can withstand small gusts of wind without additional weighting, but we recommend weighting it for greater safety. We use thicker struts, which are more expensive but significantly increase the durability of your umbrella.

Typically, umbrella stands are rated for wind force 2, so it is advisable to set up the umbrella in a wind-protected area and retract it during light gusts. Our stand is sufficient for wind force 3. Filling the stand with water and sand is a good practice. For higher demands, we offer other umbrella stands with even greater weights.

As a rule of thumb for better stability:

• Umbrella up to 2 m: approximately 20 kg
• Umbrella up to 3 m: approximately 40-50 kg
• Umbrella up to 4 m: approximately 80-100 kg
• Umbrella up to 5 m: approximately 125-150 kg

Note that calculations such as 1 kg per 10 cm diameter are not accurate, as they do not consider the multiplied canopy area. The area of the umbrella stand and the height of the umbrella are also important factors.
