The universal screw is the ultimate all-rounder in the SPAX range. It can do almost anything – for example, it can be screwed into softwoods like spruce and pine, as well as into common wood-based panels (MDF, particle board, and OSB) without the annoying need for pre-drilling. Our universal screw particularly demonstrates its superiority in interior construction and furniture building, but it is also suitable for outdoor use with the appropriate corrosion protection. Thanks to its special thread geometry, the driving resistance when screwing is significantly lower than that of conventional screws, which not only saves your strength and nerves but also preserves the battery life of the screwdriver being used. Splitting of the wood near the edges is almost completely prevented. This means for you: you can drive more screws per battery charge, and you don’t have to worry about split wood ends anymore!
