Another unique feature of the FOG-X is the tip, the retractor. Unlike other systems, this retractor is replaceable, allowing the user to vary the spray angle. The result is a finely atomized water jet that has a high heat retention capacity while consuming only 60 - 80 l/min at a nominal pressure of 6 bar. The effectiveness of the heat retention capacity compared to a C-multipurpose nozzle with a spray jet is theoretically around 200%.
