I have an APC-USB. However, I can only configure it via a USB connection or query the status more precisely. As the UPS is located next to the servers, I always have to go to the "server room" with my laptop. But now I have switched from Windows to MacOS and the software no longer runs. Is there a UPS that can be set up and configured via the network? Thanks for any tips!
UPS (Line-interactive) with Swiss plugs with earth (Type J)
I am looking for a UPS (Line-interactive) that allows to connect Swiss plugs (4 to 6) with the earth (Type J), this filter does not exist. Can you recommend a relatively strong model (desktop PC + 2 screens + NAS + router)?
Good day,
I am looking for a small UPS to supply a PC. The trick is that I have to switch off the UPS very easily with a push of a button or even by script.
The UPS is used on a machine that is powered by a generator and is switched off every evening. Our current UPS does not switch off anyone because this is not so easy to do, so the batteries die quickly and the UPS is almost empty every morning.
We currently have an old APC SpartUPS 1500.
Thanks for your type and help
Sort UPSs by battery technology and Smart/notSmart
Dear Digitec team. Please expand your search for battery technology lead, Li-Ion, etc....
In addition, some UPSs are smart and can be managed online. This search would also make the purchase easier.
Many Thanks!
I am looking for an inverter to which a router and a POE injector (for ip camera) would be connected.
All this would be connected to Brazil, so ideally 110v input but OK if only 220v. I would also like the inverter to restart automatically (itself) as well as the injector and the router in case of a power cut. A long autonomy would be a plus (power cuts can last 3-4 hours...)
Do you have an idea?
I want to get a DS920+ soon and am not quite sure which UPS/UPS would be suitable for me. It will be in my bedroom (no discussion please) and should really only protect a DS920+. In the photos I always see this US connection, or is this a UPS standard where I have to buy an additional cable or adapter?
greetings
Is there a UPS that has an empty slot for a car battery? So that I can connect an existing 12V or 24V car battery to the UPS and then use it? That would be ingenious, instead of fixed batteries inside the UPS.
Hello, I am looking for a UPS for my small server. The power supply has 1000W but I need an average of 300-500W. I would not connect anything else and need about 5min power so that the Linux server can shut down cleanly.
Which UPS can you recommend?
Thank you very much!
I have 2 servers that I would like to connect to a UPS. Both power supplies say 750 watts.
1) Do I therefore need a UPS with at least 1500 watts (do these things really booze 750 watts) ?
secondary question:
2) Would 2 UPSs with 750 watts each be better (even a UPS can break down)?
Hello together....
I need a usv to protect my beamer from a power failure.
I already had an APC BR550GI, but with this model I was disturbed by a
a whistling or humming noise when watching movies/tv.
I banished the APC to a cabinet with a long cable.
I would like to avoid that this time.
who has had good experience with their usv in terms of noise cancelling operation?
thanks in advance =)
Hello Together
Does anyone have experience with LiFePO4 batteries in UPSs? I came across "Green Cell LiFePO4" on the internet, which are advertised as an alternative to conventional lead batteries. Currently, I have not seen any UPSs with factory-fitted LiFePO4 in either the German-speaking or the English-speaking world - what is the reason for this? Are the manufacturers lagging behind, are there no buyers or is the combination of UPS & LiFePO4 not recommendable - if so, is there a technical reason for this which I have overlooked so far?
The cheapest UPS from Digitec do not appear in the compatibility list. And the test UPS from the compatibility list are far too expensive for me. I wanted to invest well under 100 francs. Only the DS would be connected to it and it doesn't have to be operated. It should only be able to shut down cleanly in the event of a power failure. If necessary, an external hard drive could also be attached. Does anyone have a good, solid recommendation? I've already searched my fingers to the bone.
Hello together
I would like to buy a UPS from APC (because of compatibility) for my Synology NAS because I always have power failures at home. (3-4 times per year)
I have the Synology DS713+ with 2 disks as well as the Expansion Unit DX513 which is also equipped with 2 disks and an external USB disk for backup.
Which UPS would fit? Is it correct to buy the communication cable between the UPS and the NAS separately? Or what other accessories are needed for the UPS and/or the NAS so that the shutdown works properly in the event of a power failure?
Thanks for your help
Hello together
I would like to protect a Synology D218+ and a Raspberry Pi 3 from power interruptions. As soon as the power is gone, I want the NAS and the Raspberry Pi to shut down when the UPS has some residual charge. It would be cool if the two end devices would automatically boot up again after the power interruption. But this is optional. Unfortunately, I have absolutely no experience with UPS's :(
It is also important that the USB port for the Raspi supplies 2A.
After my own research I found:
https://www.amazon.com/APC-Batter...
However, I couldn't find out whether this would cover my requirements.
Can anyone recommend something? I am grateful for any feedback.
