Netgear RAX120 Nighthawk (5G, WiFi 6)
In the context of wireless routers, 5G stands for 5Ghz. The device can operate on the 'normal' 2.4 Ghz frequency or on 5 Ghz. The latter is faster, but the range is not as good as with 2.4 Ghz. This router can do both...
The RAX120 itself has no PoE ports. One PoE injector should be sufficient for one camera. For example: TP-Link PoE Injector (2 ports) https://www.digitec.ch/de/s1/product/trendnet-poe-gigabit-injector-2-ports-netzwerk-switch-5687256#fullscreen=show
There is only one multi-gig port, which can be configured to be used as a WAN port (the other WAN port, labeled "Internet" is then not used) or a LAN port. The WAN port labeled "Internet" is 1 Gbps only.
Yes, there is not much you can do about it. Except make use of your 10-day right of return or have it replaced by another device under warranty. For this reason, I have rated the part here accordingly and advised against buying it. I advise Digitec to take this crutch out of their range.
It seems to me that this device simply has a "5G" connection as LAN. Say: 5 Gigabit and not the mobile phone standard "5G".... Confused me too 😅
No it's just a router you will still need a Swisscom modem. You can however plug it behind the Swisscom router and use the wifi of the netgear router which will be much better than the Swisscom modem.
I think you had placed it wrong. I've had it for half a year and have never had a fan noise.
I no longer use this product. It did not work well for me.
31 cm at the bottom. At the top of the unfolded wings it is 35cm.
The router has no separate antenna connections. The antennas are integrated into the wings and these in turn are permanently installed on the device with hinges.
