Hello Jul1an_S this following link describes how to unlock 5G on the existing Oneplus phones. It should be similar on the op9 pro, but still it should not be a restriction in terms of carrier or network frequency on the phone. if it should be, contact Digitec for a replacement based on the description here it should be Sim Unlocked and support 5G out of the box. ;) https://mt-tech.fi/en/modify-oneplus-7-pro-5g-8-and-8-pro-nr-lte-a-band-combos/ Greetings CPH4

Digitec is not a OnePlus partner and therefore does not participate in the promotion (information from the support chat). You can still register here, maybe OnePlus will turn a blind eye: https://promotions.activationboxx.com/oneplus/de/9pro-wirelesscharger

It doesn't work out of the box. There is a hacky way to get this working which requires going into soem back-end settings, I'll give you the link and you can decide if it's too much effort. I never got it to work :) https://www.xda-developers.com/enable-volte-vowifi-asus-zenfone-8-oneplus-9-pro/

According to the manufacturer, updates should still be coming. The release of the new OS for the 9Pro is scheduled for 18.4. You can find more information here https://forums.oneplus.com/threads/oxygenos-12-c-48-update-for-oneplus-9-and-oneplus-9-pro.1570555/?irclickid=VutzkhQP6xyIULdz3f1lRXomUkGSvzT9jXe0zU0&irgwc=1&utm_source=impact&utm_medium=affiliate&utm_content=digidip%20GmbH&utm_term=&utm_campaign=14042

Is there any way this product description can be updated with the Version Model Number ? I am referring to info like LE2120 wich tells the consumer what phone version is it, as LE2120 is the Chinese version, LE2121 is the Indian version, LE2125 is the US version, and LE 2123 is the European version. (this info is from the OnePlus support forum) I am asking this because I almost bought one, from a different place of course, and when checking the info on the back of the box, looking for specs, the stickers were all in chinese, and the listed model on the sticker was LE2120, which meant the phone is the chinese version. Hardware wise this is no problem as there is no difference, but the software is different and the firmware wise is also different. The firmware tells the radios which channels and frequencies to use for 4g and 5g and wifi, and in this case the operating software of the phone would be Hydrogen OS with sideloaded Google Apps, AppStore included. So this 5g phone would have never connected to a 5g GSM network as we use different channels in Europe. WiFi issues as well, as Europe uses different WiFi channels than China does. There is a reason why there are this different versions for different regions. Technical stuff, legal stuff and warranty stuff. The worst thing I saw clearly printed on one of the stickers of the phone box was "Only for sale and warranty in Mainland China", wich means that OnePlus will not cover any issues under warranty in Europe for this version of the phone, as they do not have license from OnePlus to repair that version here, in Europe. And in case of any issues, you could get stuck with a very expensive paperwight. So... Is there any way this product description can be updated with the Version Model Number please ?

It may not be the answer you might want to hear, although I would advise also to check out the the new Mi 11, it also has a Snapdragon 888 and there is no issue with 5G in Europe. It is also less expensive and has a bit bigger screen. Xiaomi Mi 11 (256 GB, Horizon Blue, 6.81 ", Dual SIM, 108 Mpx, 5G) Hasselblad is a very respectable camera brand name, although I associate Hasselblad with High End cameras that went to the Moon and back. A "normal" camera sensor in a smart phone should be also quite good in my opinion.

I haven't had 5G reception anywhere in Switzerland with UPC/Swisscom. However, this may not be due to the device.

Depends on your personal taste and liking. There will be Android and Apple Fanboys and Fangirls who will try to convince you about their system. I think you can't go wrong with any of those two. Maybe the following questions help you decide - or you may answer them so me or another community member can give you a recommendation: - What phones did you use before? - Will you be taking pictures and videos? - etc.
