Hi Fla. Very briefly: The interface you mentioned can basically work well with this microphone. But I don't know your definition of "flawless" and of course there are even better (and more expensive) interfaces. What you can say about the SM7B is that it has a relatively low output level. To put it simply: the signal that arrives at the interface from the microphone is quiet and therefore needs to be properly amplified. The preamp, which is integrated into your interface, is responsible for this. Preamps are sometimes almost mystical devices in pro audio and can cost several (tens of) thousands of francs if, for example, they are particularly low-noise or do not colour the signal even at high levels, or even if they do. For around CHF 200.00, your interface contains not only a preamp but also a converter that converts the analogue signal into a digital signal (and vice versa). So of course you can expect too much. But basically it all works. Have fun and success with your purchase!

You need a digital-to-analogue converter. This is, as you already mentioned, e.g. a Focusrite Scarlett 2i2. If you only need one connection (one microphone), you can also use the cheaper Solo. This converter has an XLR input and also supports 48V phantom power at the touch of a button. The problem with the Shure SM7B is that the output power is very low, so it needs very strong amplification. That's what the Cloudlifter (or any other microphone preamp) would be for. Finally, don't forget the stand. For the cable, I recommend Contrik. Possible package: - Focusrite Scarlett Solo 3rd Gen - 11272769 - RØDE PSA1+ - 16770845 - Contrik XLR - XLR - 6055471 - Soyuz Launcher - 23987231 (microphone preamplifier, or the Cloudlifter you mentioned from another shop) But it's also much easier and cheaper - the sound won't be much worse. - RØDE NT-USB - 3450705

Unfortunately, we do not have any further information regarding the new delivery dates, as these are currently unknown. Alternatively, you can contact our customer service at digitec@digitec.ch, and through a small workaround we could try to send you the one in stock.
