Yes, 8 GB DDR4 ECC (max. 32 GB).
According to my research and the manufacturer's specifications, the following Synology HDDs are recommended by the manufacturer: - Enterprise Series: Synology HAT5310-8T - Plus Series: Synology Plus Series HAT3310-8T As correctly mentioned, you can of course also use other HDDs from other manufacturers. Here are two alternatives: - WD: WD Red Pro - Seagate: Seagate Ironwolf Pro
One 8Gb bar is installed and therefore the 2nd slot is unused.
There are four equivalent connections. Certainly entered incorrectly
The positive side is that as you have the proof of sale it won't fit in a folder for 3 minutes and on top of that they will have to pay all the legal costs.
I bought the device, but only as a "data grave" - the built-in AMD processor is not suitable for hardware accelerated transcoding. See PLEX FAQ at the very bottom of the item: https://support.plex.tv/articles/201373803-nas-compatibility-list/ View Plex NAS Compatibility Guide My tip is and remains to use a nVidia Shield TV Pro (Google Assistant) to be able to use hardware transcoding without problems. All data is stored on the Synology, the PLEX server app then runs on the Shield. Transcoding HD content for multiple users is then no longer a topic.
You will be able to use the hard drives in the DS1522+, but not with the data on them. I assume they are now formatted with NTFS, but the DS1522+ cannot do anything with that. Internal hard disks are operated with ext4 or BTFS.
Thank you very much for pointing this out.
