Hello Patrick You need a router so that you can create a network (VLAN) for each house. You can then separate the VLans as you wish or also release certain devices for the others, e.g. weather station etc. ps. Hi RobiiJohner Yes, the switch can be supplied with power via POE. However, this must be supported by your switch/router, otherwise there is usually nothing wrong with it. Alternative suggestion: How about a coupling piece? Then you pull the cable to where there is power, then you connect a switch there :) z. e.g. the Wirewin coupling RJ-45 (S/FTP, Cat. 6a)
