Fritz!Box 5590 Fiber - Fiber Power with Wi-Fi 6 for All Connections
The Fritz!Box 5590 Fiber offers complete Fritz!Box functionality directly at the fiber optic connection. Thanks to interchangeable modules, the Fritz!Box 5590 Fiber can be flexibly used with all common fiber optic connections in Germany. Depending on the connection type, the appropriate Fritz!SFP plug-in module can be inserted into the integrated slot for fiber optic modules. This new fiber optic flagship distributes speed wirelessly in seconds via Wi-Fi 6 (4 x 4) and through a 2.5-Gigabit port, which can be used as both a WAN and LAN connection. Four Gigabit LAN ports and two USB 3.0 ports complete the high-speed features.

In Germany, there are various fiber optic access technologies. The Fritz!Box 5590 Fiber offers a modular system for network access via fiber optics, prepared for the most common connection types AON (e.g., many municipal network operators) and GPON (Deutsche Telekom, 1&1, Deutsche Glasfaser, Vodafone, among others). The appropriate Fritz!SFP modules for AON and GPON are included in the package. Color-coded cables and sockets simplify the setup.

The Wi-Fi 6 standard addresses the ever-growing number of Wi-Fi devices. A 2.5 Gigabit WAN port, a 2.5 Gigabit LAN port, and two additional Gigabit LAN ports provide maximum connectivity options. Additionally, the FRITZ!Box 5690 excels in comfortable telephony, intelligent security features, and extensive smart home capabilities via DECT ULE, all powered by a robust FRITZ!OS.
The FRITZ!Box 5690 connects directly to the fiber optic cable at the outlet - no separate modem is required. It supports the common European standards GPON and AON and can be easily set up in just a few steps through the user interface. The WLAN Mesh creates an intelligent WLAN system for your home network. The device is equipped with FRITZ!OS, which includes a media server, NAS, and MyFRITZ!. It is a WLAN router with automatic updates and an integrated modem that is compatible with all DSL connections, including major providers.
The router supports VDSL connections of up to 300 MBit/s and ADSL2+. It can also operate with fiber optics, cable modems, and mobile sticks. Connection options include 1 x 2.5 Gigabit WAN/LAN, 1 x 2.5 Gigabit LAN, and 2 x Gigabit LAN.
