The flexibly programmable astro control offers far more comfort than a simple timer – when activated, the switching times are adjusted according to the geographical location of your site, smoothly following the seasonal changes in the sun's position, allowing you to make the most of daylight. This means you don’t have to readjust when sunset occurs later in the summer; the switching times will be delayed according to your settings. Conversely, the control adjusts to the earlier sunset times during the darker months of the year, closing the roller shutter sooner. This also contributes to improved thermal insulation in winter, preventing the room from cooling unnecessarily.

Example of use for the combination with the astro function: retract the roller shutter 30 minutes after sunrise, open it at 12:00 PM, retract it again at 1:00 PM, and extend it 30 minutes after sunset. This way, the roller shutter is only retracted when it is light outside and extended when it is dark, protecting the room from direct sunlight during midday. The astro control can be flexibly used as needed, for example, with a sliding time for closing and a fixed time for opening.
