Hello, I'm looking for a small, solid, easy-to-use device for use in schools. It will be used mainly for the team, but could also be used with young people. Which model do you recommend?

Hello everyone I'm currently still shooting with a Nikon Z5 and a small selection of lenses. However, I would like to fly to Japan in the future and am thinking about updating the body beforehand ... I like to photograph landscapes, architecture, streets and have started with macro photography. The Z5 II is currently still quite expensive and doesn't really have any significant improvements, especially the same MP. I'm wavering between the Nikon Z7 II and the Nikon Z8 - but I suspect that the Z8 might be too much for a hobby? Thanks for your ideas :)

Hello I have since 8 months and would like to change to fullframe because: 1.More pixels. 2. Better picture quality at night The fullframe camera does not have to have a fast autofocus. Budget max 3000 Fr. What would you recommend?

Hello together (Edit: My favourites at the moment are the Sony a6400 with the 18-135mm kit lens and the Fujifilm X-T30 II Kit 15 - 45 mm... But I don't like heavily processed images, which the Fuji is known for. Does anyone have any experience with Fuji cameras but without the heavy filters?) I am currently looking for a suitable camera. I've wanted to get a "proper" camera for years, but I've always been unsure whether I really need one. I've been using my iPhone 14 Pro Max for 2.5 years and occasionally use my Canon Ixus 155 for fun. The camera should fulfil the following requirements: Price: max. 1100 CHF for body + lens Purpose: I like to take photos of nature, cities (buildings, streets, etc.) and people - especially for Instagram posts. I also like making short videos. However, I'm not sure if there's anything in this price range that's better than my iPhone for videos, especially when it comes to action mode. Display: If possible, a foldable display so that I can also look at it from above or take selfies. Thanks in advance for your recommendations!

Hello everyone another camera question... I like travelling and hiking and am therefore looking for a new camera to accompany me on my adventures. So far I've been using my Canon Powershot from 2011 and my mobile phone, but also an analogue Nikon FE II (very old). I'm currently flirting with the Nikon Z50II, which seems to have the right range of functions for me, but I wanted to ask around to see if I'm missing something. Budget is around 1000. Many thanks for your support!

Hello, This is our 4th time travelling to Namibia for a safari. So far I have always travelled with my Lumix FZ1000 bridge camera and have always been very happy with the pictures. But now I'm looking for a replacement this year and would like to take a step towards more professionalism and flexibility (interchangeable lenses), larger zoom lenses, AutoFocus with the latest technology, better quality in low light (mornings and evenings on safari at sunset and sunrise), etc. I'm looking for a new camera. What can you recommend?

Hello I'm going on a safari tour in Kenya in February. I am looking for a camera for this: -beginner friendly -uncomplicated -beautiful photos -as small a camera as possible Budget max 500 CHF Can you recommend a few cameras?

Hello everyone, I'm desperately looking for a compact digital camera that fits in my trouser or jacket pocket. It should be able to take vintage retro style photos (like Fujifilm). I am a beginner and have only photographed with iPhones and occasionally with a Canon EOS. The choice is overwhelming and I am further limited as many Fujifilm models are currently on sale. Which camera can you recommend? Many thanks in advance!

Hello everyone, I'm looking for a camera that I can use when travelling. I have only taken photos with my mobile phones (or 15 years ago I had a digital camera). That has been enough for me for the last few years, but I would now like to capture my travels with a decent and good camera. As I'm a total beginner when it comes to cameras, I'm overwhelmed by all the choices when it comes to finding the right camera. Do you have any tips or can you recommend a camera?

What is the difference between 'mp4' and 'MPEG-4' ? And while we're at it...: what are 'mov', 'AVC', 'AVCHD', and 'H.263', 'H.264', 'H.265'...? Thanks for the clarification...:-)

Hello everyone I'm at a bit of a loss and need your help. I haven't looked into the topic of cameras for a long time. Now I'm going on a safari holiday this year and want a decent camera. I'm currently focussing on the Canon R6. But I'm basically completely open. What would you recommend and which lenses (probably two - 1x telephoto 1x wide-angle) to go with it? Thank you very much Dave

Hello everyone! I'm using the forum for the first time but I'm a bit lost... I'm looking to buy a camera for a number of reasons. I used to use a Nikon D750 which I had stolen a long time ago, but I loved that time. My current needs would be for travel photography and for work. I'm a web developer and clients often ask for photos for their websites, so I'd like to be able to take some nice photos. I also love going out and taking beautiful photos of the landscape, which I can reuse later or for the pleasure of seeing them again. I also love taking photos of my family and friends, and I'd love to be able to take on the role of the person who freezes the memories, kindly replacing my grandmother who has played this role with passion all these years. I'm not a pro but I can take good photos, so I wanted to know what Nikon has to offer (if it's not a good idea, I can change direction of course) between 1000 and 3000chf. If it's a kit it's even better! Thanks to anyone who takes the time to advise me, I've forgotten a lot of technical information but I'm all ears đ A+

A field in the specifications for the maximum expandable storage capacity would be useful here...

Please merge the 'Videoformat' filters 'mp4' and 'MPEG-4', as far as I know they mean the same thing...?

Has anyone had any negative experiences with Canon's mirrorless cameras? I was actually about to buy a camera from the EOS R series, but I've read articles online about models that seem to hang up out of the blue and sometimes take hours to recover. Does anyone know more about this, including how Canon handles it? Has anyone been affected by this themselves? Are there any workarounds?

Hello Community, I have just seen that Digitec is selling the EOS R5 and also an EOS R5 (EU). The EU version is exactly 500.- CHf cheaper, which is not insignificant. What advantages do I have with a non-EU version and what disadvantages do I have with an EU version? Thank you for clarifying this.

Hello Community I would like to replace my Sony HX90V. What annoys me about it is that it sometimes takes a long time to focus - but it has GPS on board and 30x zoom! Here is the selection: https://www.digitec.ch/comparison... See below for details. I can't judge for myself whether I miss the zoom (+15x on the Panasonic models) or the super autofocus of the RX100. I take (too) many photos indoors at family parties - f2.8 might be better than 3.6 on the Panasconics. I've looked at too many tests - each model has its strengths. So I'd better ask you: if you had the choice or compared your cameras, which one would you choose? Sony RX100 VII + the best according to digitec rating + very fast autofocus + focus tracking + aperture 2.8 + fold-out display, practical for small people + 1" sensor - Conditional touchscreen menus - "only" 8.3x zoom - no GPS - already old: 07/2019 Sony HX99 - successor to mine, better AF and I probably wouldn't have to change/get used to it too much + 28x zoom - also no GPS - 1/2.3" sensor - very old: 08/2019 TZ96D + latest model: 11/2022 + fold-out display + all menus by touch + 30x zoom - 1/2.3" sensor - Bende 3.3 - no GPS TZ202 + 1" sensor + aperture 1.4!!! + 15x zoom - old: 05/2018 - too big for trouser pockets - non swivelling display

Hello When Canon lenses are used on a Canon body, the minimum aperture is the one indicated on the lens. (For zoom lenses usually 2.8 or 4.0) If the same Canon lenses are mounted on a Sonybody, is it effectively the case that the f-number is reduced, e.g. from 2.8 => 2.0 or 4.0 to 2.8? If this is the case, does anyone have an explanation for this?

Hello Community Does anyone know if the Fuji X-Pro 3 will be available again at some point? Or is there an official statement from Fujifilm on this topic?

Hello together I am looking for my first real camera. The camera doesn't have to be incredibly good, but it should offer a good mix between retro feeling and state of the art. I have now found a few cameras that take good "retro photos". (what I have seen on social media): https://www.digitec.ch/de/s1/product/fujifilm-x100v-23-mm-2610-mpx-aps-c-dx-kamera-12660502 https://www.digitec.ch/de/s1/product/nikon-z-fc-16-50-mm-2090-mpx-aps-c-dx-kamera-16176382 https://www.digitec.ch/de/s1/product/canon-powershot-g7-x-mark-iii-88-368-mm-2010-mpx-1-kamera-11435145 In terms of price, I would also like to stay under 1500. I won't be taking extreme portraits, landscapes, nature photos, it should be more of an all-rounder camera that gives a retro feeling, takes good photos and captures moments & memories. If no lens can be attached (like with the Fuji), that's not bad either, I probably won't build up an arsenal of lenses.

Hello Together I have been looking around for a camera for a while. I need one to record a video course indoors, the auto focus should already work well, however I need it for now once to record myself giving presentations. Which one would you recommend? Wouldn't need the most expensive one. Greetings to all

Hello together Do you have an idea which camera is best for different areas like event, nature, portraits, etc.? It would be cool to have the Canon or Sony brands, but if you have other ideas, feel free to post them. Thank you for your help Greetings Roman

Hello together, Maybe someone here has some crucial advice for me. I am looking for a camera for archaeology. The following situations are standard. - Photography in low light (high ISO with little image noise) - Photography in confined spaces (tendency towards full-frame) - Subjects are generally static - Subjects in photography are generally smaller architectures, but also occasionally wide-ranging landscapes - Small-scale photography (possibility of 1:1 macro) - Weatherproof - Battery life is important, but can be increased considerably with battery grips. - Budget: 2000.- max. I tend to Canon purely out of habit from the institutes and was already flirting with the new Canon R8 of the RP (unfortunately without IS) or the R6. But maybe someone here has some good advice or experience. Thanks & greetings Peter

Hello Community Does anyone know where I can get the wind stopper for the Sony ZV-1?

I need a camera for mainly video recording for a fitness company. I don't have much previous experience and have put a few cameras in a comparison list: https://www.digitec.ch/comparison... What do you think, is there a suitable one or are there better ones for this price?

Hello together I would like to get a camera for wildlife and landscape photography. This would be used mostly in the mornings or evenings and on hikes. This means the lighting conditions will be difficult to control. I was thinking of buying a cheaper body (proportionally) and an expensive lens as I have been told that the lens usually sees more camera life. Are there any good entry-level solutions for this purpose or is it worth investing more money?

Hello all I am looking for a rather small camera suitable for everyday use for landscape and macro photography. Ideally, I would like to be able to zoom wonderfully in the mountains to beautifully depict clouds/fog wisps and rock formations in the distance, and then immediately photograph the wonderful panorama and three steps further photograph the beetle, the colourful leaves and the dew drops on the leaves. Is there such a combination in a camera? And the whole thing in a rather small format that fits in a jacket pocket? Or what would you recommend that comes closest?
