Often, there is a lack of power outlets at home to supply all the devices we want to use simultaneously. Either they are blocked by bulky plugs and can no longer be used, or there are only a few nearby. Using regular extension cords to multiply outlets often results in long, unnecessary cables. Additionally, more and more electronic devices are charged with USB cables, but laptops only offer a limited number of USB ports.
