I bought 2 Exos x18 16TB hard drives yesterday: (https://www.digitec.ch/de/s1/product/seagate-exos-x18-st16000nm000j-refurbished-16-tb-35-cmr-festplatte-57426660?supplier=406802) SMART vs FARM shows a clear deception: Power On Hours: SMART data showed: 0 hours FARM data shows: 25,426 hours (almost 3 years) Power Cycle Count: SMART data showed: 2 FARM data shows: 31 Usage Statistics (completely hidden in SMART): Total Read Commands: 825,793,421 Total Write Commands: 105,556,255 Logical Sectors Written: 50,072,754,537 Logical Sectors Read: 211,029,323,023 Per-Head Write Hours: Each head has between 5,700-6,800 hours of write time I received very similar values for the 2nd drive. Digitec description: "Origin: possibly already in use. Condition: Refurbished. 2 year warranty via Digitec Galaxus.". Possibly already in use and condition: refurbished sound very deceptive in retrospect. Why was the SMART data wiped? Where is the refurbishment certificate? At least a labelling or grading? I'm absolutely disappointed with Digitec, because the HDDs look like new at first glance, but if you take a closer look, it looks like a rather heavily worn hard drive and normally they only look at SMART. Is there an official statement on this? Opinions from the Community?

Hello. I have found 2 old "SD cards" of mine. I would like to transfer the old files to my PC. Now I have the problem that they are not normal mini sd-cards or have a different (wider) shaft and I can't put them into a normal sd-card adapter. They look almost like a normal mini sd-card but of a different type. on this card it only says M2. one is the Sony brand and one is SanDisk. is there an adapter for these "old" models? Thank you very much.

I see digitec has already implemented a nice box next to the price that tells you the price per TB for example. Could this be also implemented while sorting? It could also be implemented in the filters similarly to the price where you can set up your own range. Thanks!

I'm looking for a NAS that can transcode 4K videos in H.265 format outside my network without any problems. At home I use an Apple TV that can handle H.265 without any problems (Direct Play). My Plex Media Server is used by 2-3 users at the same time, so sufficient performance for parallel streams is important. Do you have any recommendations for a powerful NAS that fulfils my requirements? What do you think of Ugreen?

I have a Sandisk brand microSDXC memory card, when I copy files to it, it starts at a fast 80 MB/s., and then always slows down to 0 MB/s after about 1 minute...does anyone have a recommendation for a microSDXC card with at least 128 GB storage capacity that does not have such sudden drops in performance? Problem: An older notebook with a 2.5" SATA SSD (removable or replaceable) is to be upgraded to more memory (currently 2TB). Now I could buy a 4 or 8 TB SATA SSD. The problem is: In about 1 year, I want to switch to a new notebook, which will definitely no longer have a SATA slot. An external solution is out of the question. Is there a way to operate e.g. the MZ-V9P4T0BW from Samsung on a SATA port using an adapter? I have looked at some adapters, but it often says that NVMe is not possible. Which ones work then? The idea would of course be to simply take the M.2 with me when I change my notebook, but to be able to use it in the old notebook without an M.2 slot for the time being.
