It sounds as if the audio output of the PlayStation is set to Dolby Atmos or other multi-channel audio formats (except stereo). At least the monitor would then not be able to output the centre channel. Dialogue would then be missing, but the music would be output.

Helpful answer

Basically NO. The expectation of a television is that it can receive digital television signals via cable and - nowadays - that smart apps (Netflix and co) are integrated. This one can't do either. Only devices connected via HDMI/display port are displayed. But with very good quality

No, nothing burns in, you don't have to be afraid, the monitors all have several protective functions that prevent burning in. Yes, the panel is 4K UHD. There is the Pixel Shift function, then there is a Pixel Refresh cycle every 500 hours, so never disconnect the device completely from the power, automatic brightness control and also an Image Cleaning Mode has LG built in there, if a static image would be left there for a longer time.

For 5.1 sound, you need an external sound bar or surround system. This is then connected via the optical connection. The monitor itself has only stereo speakers, but can theoretically transmit 5.1 sound.
