My staff also had the problem on the 2nd day that the monitor remained dark in the morning. This was due to the screen's energy-saving mode. You have to switch off the automatic switch-off of the monitor via the menu... :)
BenQ EW3270UE 32": way finer matrix; not so consistent black; very good value for the price
Yes, that is possible. However, the resolution (dpi) or image quality is so poor that it is uncomfortable to look at. I sent it back immediately (at a loss). The macbook is too good in terms of picture quality.
At the bottom right behind the screen is a multifunction button (easily accessible by hand from the front). You have to press this 3-4 times to switch to the other source. This is ok for occasional use, but if you want to switch several times a day, I would rather use a switch or put 2 screens there.
It's a mistake from Digitec. Contact the support and request the correct power cord. The solution with an Adapter is not the best way when the cable is plugabble. -----8<------------------8<------------------8<------ Digitec is obliged to supply electrical devices with a Swiss plug. If the device comes with a foreign plug, a suitable replacement cable should be supplied if the mains cable is pluggable or alternatively if the mains cable is permanently connected a suitable adapter should be supplied. If the device does not come with a suitable plug, complain to customer service and insist on a cable or adapter, free of charge.Digitec is obliged to supply electrical devices with a Swiss plug. If your device has an HDMI or DisplayPort, you can connect this monitor directly. If you don't have one, you will need a transition cable from Thunderbold to DisplayPort or HDMI.
I don't have a Samsung, but I have my MacBook Air connected via USB-C. The laptop charges itself via the interface. However, the monitor does not support Thunderbolt, so the monitor simply stays black. Therefore, the monitor is definitely unsuitable for new MacBooks.
Thanks for all the answers. The official Samsing product page says, this monitor can charges up to 45W, therefore it can charge a 12 inch Macbook as Bleah89 says, it can even charge a retina Macbook Air, but a 16 inch Macbook Pro requires a 96W charger unfortunately so it won't give enough juice to my computer.
Yes works with Macbook Pro 13"
When I think about it, it's probably the corona virus...

No. But a 3.5mm jack plug.

No, there is no speaker.
Works for me with Macbook 2018 and iMac
I didn't compare my Samsung before I bought it. But compared to my previous cheap monitors, it's like night and day. After calibrating the screen with the Burosch test images, I suddenly had a viewing experience like never before. I need this monitor primarily for image processing and so far I have nothing to complain about. Sharpness, contrast, black level and viewing angle have remained stable over the years. I can recommend this Samsung without reservation.
Hello, it is 30x23cm
so actually a pretty stupid question (not meant offensively). :) the resolution is 2560x1440 or just 1920x1080. the size of the monitor doesn't change anything. with a smaller monitor, the individual pixels are logically simply smaller :)
Thunderbolt 3 and USB-C are pretty much the same cable, except for the speed (which has no real influence on this Samsung display). USB 3 is a different cable with different connectivity, different functions and different speed.
