Hello,
I understand that the unit is connected to the network via cable and adds other devices via WLAN - i.e. operation as a WLAN access point. This has been added as a function with the latest firmware! See: http://www.tp-link.de/download...
Yes, the RE450 can be operated in two modes: Repeater and Acces Point. In repeater mode, the retransmission of data can be prevented. This means that a bridge is only formed with the existing Ethernet port, which corresponds to the desired client mode. I have used the RE450 and also an RE650 in this way.
I really use the repeater as a repeater, so I haven't tried that. As far as I know, however, it should be possible. At least if you set it up via the web interface, you can set the SSID and PW for the "repeated" WLAN separately. And it is also called "Access Point + Repeater" ;).
Hello, thank you for the enquiry. However, I cannot answer your question. I haven't had anything to do with Apple all my life. I am sorry for that. I hope that you will still receive an answer. Maybe directly from the manufacturer.
Yes, the Wi-Fi repeater is compatible with the Sunrise Box. User reports and product specifications confirm that it connects wirelessly to the Sunrise Box Wi-Fi and amplifies the signal, often via WPS or the TP-Link app.
Hello,
The RE450 is compatible with the Huawei E5885LS-93A. The repeater can connect to any WiFi router or access point, including your Huawei modem router, via WiFi or the Gigabit Ethernet port.
However, I should point out that the RE450 amplifies the existing WiFi signal, it cannot improve the cellular reception of your modem. If your Huawei E5885LS-93A has poor 4G reception, the repeater won't solve the problem at source. On the other hand, once the modem has a connection, the RE450 can effectively extend WiFi coverage in your flat thanks to its 3 external antennas and combined speeds of up to 1750 Mbps.
To optimise your installation, you could place the Huawei modem near a window (as you already do) and position the RE450 halfway between the modem and the areas where you have WiFi outages. The repeater has an indicator light that will tell you if the positioning is optimal.
Happy festive season to you too!
Yes, and above all a device that supports wifi 6. 1300Mbit is fairly modest; you can find devices with 3000Mbit. Be aware that the final connection speed depends on a lot of parameters and what is indicated on the packages remains indicative...
