Yes, the multiport adapter (USB-C, HDMI, USB) with the product ID MUF82ZM/A from Apple is compatible with the new iPad Air 13'' (M2). This adapter makes it possible to connect the iPad Air to an HDMI display via the USB-C port and use a USB device and USB-C charging at the same time.

Unfortunately, this is not possible. HDMI output: The adapter can connect a TV set or monitor via HDMI. This connection supports resolutions up to 4K at 60Hz. USB-C port: The USB-C port on the adapter is mainly intended for charging the MacBook and not for transferring video signals. USB-A port: The adapter offers a USB-A port for connecting USB devices.

Yes, it should work. From my own experience, I can only confirm that you can use it to connect iPads with USB-C to the TV. This will work in exactly the same way with the new iPhone 15. PS: How well the size/resolution of the TV is utilised as a 2nd display depends heavily on the iOS apps. Certain apps such as PlayerXtreme automatically recognise when a 2nd display is connected and only play the video/film/series on the 2nd display, while only the video control remains on the iPad/iPhone. Unfortunately, other apps such as Youtube are not yet able to do this and you can then only mirror the entire iPad/iPhone screen on the 2nd display, which means that the resolution is not perfectly adapted to the 2nd display.

General: Always keep the OS up to date. 1) Should work without problems. You can't really do anything wrong. The original power supply unit should be used. Check if everything is plugged together correctly. 2.1) The USB-C on the multiport adapter is only suitable for the power supply. Other functions do not work here. 2.2) Your Macbook does not have a Firewire connection.

Hello This works tiptop! With this adapter you can use a second monitor without any problems. You can then decide for yourself in the system settings of your iMac whether the external screen is mirrored or expanded. Kind regards

Hello X-Men Basic question: What kind of screen is it and how long is your HDMI cable? Which model of Apple adapter do you have (it says Axxxx on the back of the block)? We have experienced that with some PC screens the signal is not always transmitted. High-quality cables longer than 5 m are also a problem for the adapter. The new one (A2119) is supposed to support 4K, but the old one does not. Regarding copy protection HDCP, it is not entirely clear which standards this has, at least I have not found it out from the official data. Maybe someone from the community can help.
