I would have used 3 of these Ubiquiti U6+ for a 3-storey apartment block, not installed directly on top of each other but slightly offset. Under certain circumstances, 2 on the ground floor and 3rd floor may also be sufficient. Wall/ceiling mount is included, power adapter is not, here a PoE switch or a PoW injector is necessary.

Yes, you can integrate the new U6+ access point into your existing infrastructure and configure it with the local Ubiquiti software. The U6+ models are compatible with the UniFi software you already use and can be managed via Ethernet, Wi-Fi or Bluetooth.

Hello the Unifi U6+ is intended for individual rooms with the Unifi U6 pro you have the most optimal coverage for floors. Depending on the conditions of the property, you may also need 2 per floor or an LR to cover the garden, for example. With the Ubiquiti U6 pro you have enough power (speed) and range for several users.

The Ubiquiti APs are professional devices that are not as easy to configure as consumer APs. You definitely need this. Ubiquiti U-POE-AT (PoE Injector) Please connect it in the bedroom, or beforehand, i.e. from the distribution box, if you want to install a switch in the bedroom to be able to connect other devices to the LAN there. Perhaps you can get help with your project from someone who is familiar with this. VG

Hi there I would highly suggest to take the PRO model. I have a 6+ and a 6+ PRO model in operation. The big advantage of the PRO model are the extra antennas which is beneficial if you have many devices or need extra bandwidth. In addition it supports Ubiquiti bluetooth devices & sensors which the 6+ doesn’t. I hope it helps. Best Ben

Greetings, if the router is not one from UniFi no. You have to download the app to your smartphone and enter it yourself once during setup. Important roaming between multiple access points is only possible with a network controller from UniFi or if you host it on a virtual machine. Have a nice evening.

My printer stopped working. Solution: Change WPS2/WPS3 to WPS2 only (at 2.4GHz where the printer should be connected), and then it will work again! https://de.digi.com/blog/post/wi-fi-6-compatible-devices-and-their-use-cases#:~:text=The%20good%20message%3A%20Wi%2DFi,Ger%C3%A4te%20unterst%C3%BCtzen%20Wi%2DFi%206.

The radiation characteristics are published by Ubiquiti (somewhat hidden) https://help.ui.com/hc/en-us/articles/115005212927-UniFi-Network-AP-Antenna-Radiation-Patterns Best regards

Of course, you can connect them with any operator, of course it's not a Pug & Play product you have to configure it properly and have minimal knowledge. For my part, I have an Ubiquiti VPN Router that acts as Controller and everything is configured from its App.

I've had a UAP-AC-PRO in my bedroom for years and have never heard a peep from it. 🫣🤔 I haven't noticed any negative noise emissions from the U6s either.

Hi I also had to make my own experiences with PoE; there are several standards. You absolutely need an adapter that supplies 48V. Unfortunately, passive PoE (24V) is not possible with this AP. You can find them for a good price on Tutti. I also bought mine there. Good luck! LG Ben

In principle, this is possible. Please note: this AP gets its power via PoE+. Therefore, your cable from the basement to the first floor should be a copper cable with at least Cat 5e. In the best case, your switch can do PoE, otherwise connect the PoE injector in between. This AP needs a controller. So, if you don't have one yet, don't forget to buy a cloud key.

As already stated in the infomail about the delivery delay, it can unfortunately happen that the supplier does not receive the subsequent delivery as expected and then the expected delivery date changes. For this reason, we always state the delivery dates in our online shop without guarantee.

There are switches from the Ubiquiti brand that have 2.5Gbit/s Ethernet ports or higher. You would have to use such a switch if you want to give the APs the maximum bandwidth. For example: Ubiquiti Enterprise 8 PoE
